Woodcuts
Each woodcut design begins as an original sketch inspired by the quiet magic of nature, folklore, and everyday moments. From there, the illustration is carefully transferred to a wood block and carved by hand using traditional woodcut techniques. Jennifer then inks the block to create a print or paints the woodcut using acrylics to create a one of a kind piece of art. The result is a design with rich texture and character, giving each piece the organic warmth that defines Maple Moon Designs.
